It was once a couple, she from Santos, the one from São Paulo, the Nutrition student at the Catholic University of Santos, the Theology student at the Palavra da Vida Biblical Seminary. They did not know, they had never seen each other and lived their lives without imagining what God had for them.

And in one of the ironies of fate, they find themselves on a missionary journey. She goes with the group of young people from the auxiliary church to the MEAP mission that has their headquarters in the church. He is doing the fairgrounds at the same mission, covering the missionary fairs that he took care of at the base of the mission in Ariri, a small fishing village on the extreme-south coast of São Paulo.

Ali, your eyes will meet for the first time. Ela thought: "who will be that pretty fisherman"? He has declared himself to a friend: "Quem é essa manina linda?". My admiration only grew during the days of missionary work, I saw my paixão, or love, and with some setbacks and unforeseen events here and eventually they would marry two years later.

​

Then, married, they will leave for the ministry with the local church, they will work first with teenagers and young people, in Jundiaí, then with young married people, discipleship and theological teaching in São Paulo, after being the leaders of a local non-interior church, and finally they will pastor for about 15 years at Primeira Igreja Batista in Barueri.

​

In Barueri there were 3 children, one who did not leave before being born, and finally, in 2010, a cute boy with a carinha de sono, who called Noah, who calmly only had the meaning of his name, and, in 2012, a bratty girl and loire, with a strong genius and very insightful and intelligent, what a chamaram of Manuela.

The married man lived calmly, thinking that he would spend his whole life, and would settle, in Barueri, until, in November 2021, God challenged you to leave your home, your family, a solid and consolidated ministry, financial stability and ministerial prestige, for a new and crazy journey, becoming missionaries in Uruguay.

​

They will accept the challenge, joining other missionaries of the TeachBeyond mission, to strengthen churches, providing theological training, discipleship, spiritual strengthening and accompaniment, mentoring, contributing with the Uruguayan church to overcome two major evangelical challenges in the South American continent.

​
